The biggest annual transport event of Russia took place in Moscow 19-21 November.
The Northern Dimension is covering a large geographical area including parts of the European Arctic. As well as in the rest of the world, also in these remote and scarcely populated areas, new technology and green solutions are of great importance.
A seminar/workshop dedicated to digitalisation and automation in transport and logistics was held in Riga on 6 November 2019
BEAC Ministers met in Umeå, Sweden on 12 September 2019
A seminar welcomed by Tālis Linkaits, Minister of Transport of Latvia, and dedicated to the railway connections between Europe and Asia was held in Riga back-to-back with the NDPTL SC Meeting.
In 2019 Latvia took over the Chairmanship of the NDPTL Steering Committee. This year the Memorandum of Understanding setting out the modalities of establishing the NDPTL expires. The Ministry of Transport of Latvia bears a task to finalise evaluation of the Partnership and prepare for the future continuation of cooperation.
The meeting took place in Brussels under the Chairmanship of the European Commission.
NDPTL High Level Meeting took place in Moscow on 8 December 2017 under the Chairmanship of the Russian Federation.
Representatives of the Ministry of Transport of Russia, Ministry of Enterprise and Innovation of Sweden, and Directors for NDPTL Secretariat and International Barents Secretariat met in Moscow on 7 December 2017.

The ordinary 19th Meeting of the NDPTL Steering Committee took place in Brussels on 27 November under the Chairmanship of the European Commission.
The annual International Arctic Forum took place in Arkhangelsk, Russia on the 29-30th of April 2017. This year- Arctic Territory of Dialogue - was the working title of the conference.

A High Level Seminar will take place on the 10-15 January, 2017, in Ivalo, Finland. The event is arranged by NDPTL and a group of Arctic companies.
On 20 - 21st of June 2016 the BEAC Transport Ministerial and the Steering Committee of the Barents Euro-Arctic Transport Area convened in Arkhangelsk, Russia
A round table discussion within the frames of the NDPTL project "Elimination of obstacles for Intermodal transportation in transit through Poland, Lithuania and Belarus" took place in Helsinki, Finland, on 26 April 2016.
On April 7 The VII Northern Dimension Forum took place in St Petersburg. The event was visited by More than 200 delegates.

1-5 December 2015 a big international transport exhibition took place in Moscow, Russia. The event is annual and aims to sharing achievements and ideas on further development of the transport and logistics sector.
The NDPTL High Level Meeting convened in Oslo, Norway, on 1 December 2015, under the chairmanship of the Ministry of Transport and Communications of Norway
The Assembly of Donors of the NDPTL Support Fund selected three new projects to be co-financed from the NDPTL Support Fund.
The Northern Dimension Parliamentary Forum (NDPF) took place on the 10.-11th of May 2015 in Reykjavik, Iceland. Parliamentarians met to take stock and to discuss and further develop policy areas of common interest and relevant for the Northern Dimension.
The 3rd ASEM Transport Ministers' Meeting (ASEM TMM3), themed "Development of Euro-Asia Multimodal Transport Linkages-Status Quo and Blueprints for the Future", was held on 29-30 April 2015 in Riga, Latvia. The meeting was devoted to reinvigorating and giving new impetus to the ASEM Transport Ministers' Meeting format and following up on the conclusions of the previous two Meetings in Vilnius, Lithuania, in 2009 and Chengdu, China, in 2011.

The second meeting of the Assembly of Donors of the NDPTL Support Fund convened in Helsinki on 18 June 2014
A high-level seminar with the theme ITS in Logistics within the Northern Dimension, Barents and Arctic Area was held in Helsinki on 18 June 2014. It was an ancillary event, running parallel with the 10th ITS European Congress & Exhibition, one of Europe's largest events in Intelligent Transport Systems and Services.
Seminar on border-crossing transport was held in Stockholm on 13 May. NDPTL was among key speakers talking about cooperation, coordination and further development of the transport systems of the Nordic countries.
On the 8th of April 2014, the fourth meeting of the Senior Officials of the renewed Northern Dimension (ND) took place in Oslo. The meeting was attended by the Senior Officials of the four Northern Dimension Partners - the European Union, Iceland, Norway and the Russian Federation as well as other Northern Dimension Stakeholders.
Oddgeir Danielsen, Director of the NDPTL Secretariat, made a presentation on the challenges and opportunities as regards the transport system of the Northern Dimension region and NDPTL on 13 February in Helsinki
On 4 February a meeting of the NDPTL Working Group took place in the Ministry of Transport and Communications of Finland. Different international cooperation organisations met to discuss future ways of work, searching for synergies and avoiding overlaps of activities.
Finnish Presidency of CBSS and HELCOM in cooperation with the Baltic Development Forum and NDPTL promote green technology and alternative fuels for shipping in the Baltic Sea
NDPTL High Level Meeting (HLM) convened in Brussels 17 December. A major outcome was the prolongation of the NDPTL Memorandum of Understanding setting out grounds for continuation of cooperation within the frames of NDPTL for the next period of 5 years
7 November 2013 The First Ordinary Meeting of the Assembly of Donors of the NDPTL Support Fund took place in Helsinki, Finland. The Assembly discussed project applications submitted to the Partnership and selected 4 projects to be supported in the first round of grant allocation.
On the 17th of October the round table "Bridging the gap between the TEN-T and the Great North" took place within the framework of the TEN-T days in Tallinn, Estonia.
The NDPTL Steering Committee meeting took place in Kaliningrad, Russia, on 26 September 2013. In the meeting the SC recommended to the Donors´ Assembly the first projects to be considered receiving financial support from the NDPTL Support Fund.
On the 23rd of September the Barents transport ministerial meeting
convened in Narvik, Norway.
The meeting adressed the proposed Joint Transport Plan for the Barents Region. The plan covers Russian, Finnish, Sweedish and Norwegian parts of the Barents region.
On 2-3 September the expert group of BEATA working on the "Joint transport plan for the Barents region" convened in Helsinki. The meeting was hosted by the NDPTL Secretariat.
Seminar on financing infrastructure in the ND area took place in Riga on 26 June
The analysts look at the situation on the border crossing points between Schengen countries, Russia and Belarus and develop practical recommendations
Recently completed study is addressing different financial instruments for financing transport and logistics infrastrucutre in the Northern Dimension region.
Conference on alternative fuels in shipping took place on 11-12 April in Helsinki
February 18th 2013, the third Ministerial meeting of the Northern Dimension (ND) convened in Brussels. The meeting was hosted by the European Union and chaired by the High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice- President of the European Commission. The ministers of Foreign Affairs from all the ND partner countries - the Russian Federation, the European Union, Iceland and Norway - attended the meeting. Furthermore representatives of the Regional Councils, the International Financial Institutions and others involved in the ND cooperation did also participate in the meeting.
